Kylen Bag

Brave Leather started on the streets of Toronto in 1992, when Scott Irvine began selling the belts he’d made himself. A year later he built it into a proper workshop, and more than three decades on, Brave is still making everything by hand in that same city, one of the last leather belt factories left in Canada.

The leather is vegetable-tanned, a choice that keeps the tanning process free of heavy metals and the material genuinely biodegradable. Every belt is cut, punched and finished in-house, using machines built for the job alongside the kind of hand-finishing that doesn’t speed up for anyone. The result is a belt that holds its shape and its colour for years, not seasons.

We carry Brave Leather because it’s one of the last of its kind: Canadian-made, by hand, by the person who started the company. A belt like this earns its spot in a wardrobe long after the trend it arrived with has moved on.
