Blundstone Size Guide

Blundstone boots run in Australian/UK sizing, not Canadian, so there's a bit of a translation involved — but it's simple once you know the rule.

The Quick Version

Women: subtract 3 from your Canadian shoe size
Men: subtract 1 from your Canadian shoe size

So a Canadian women's size 8 is an AUS/UK 5. A Canadian men's size 9 is an AUS/UK 8. The chart below has it laid out if you'd rather not do the math.

A Few Things Worth Knowing Before You Order

Blundstones are true to size, but they don't stretch in length — the reinforced toe holds its shape permanently, so what you order is what you'll have for the life of the boot. What does change over time is width: the leather softens and moulds to the top of your foot with wear, so a touch of snugness in the first few weeks is normal and not a sign you've ordered wrong.

If you're between sizes or want a roomier fit, go with the half size up rather than a full size — half sizes in Blundstone add width, not length, so you won't end up swimming in them.

A good rule of thumb: about a finger's width of space between your longest toe and the end of the boot when you're standing.

Blundstones have been on our feet — and just about everyone else's in this town — since we opened, and it's easy to understand why once you've worn a pair through a proper mountain winter. THey have been making boots in Hobart, Tasmania since 1870, and the elastic-sided pull-on design has barely changed since — mostly because they got it right the first time. It's the kind of boot that was built for people who needed to stop thinking about their feet: farmers, factory workers, soldiers on the Kokoda Track. That no-nonsense pedigree still shows in every pair.
