Nexgrip started in Quebec with a simple engineering problem: how do you make a boot that actually grips ice, not just snow. The answer is a retractable stainless steel cleat built into the heel, paired with non-slip technology up front, so you get real traction on the sidewalk and a normal sole when you step indoors.

The rest of the boot holds up its end too. Waterproof membranes, Thinsulate insulation rated for serious cold, and a merino wool blend lining that keeps the whole thing warm rather than just dry. The cleats are replaceable, so the boot’s working part doesn’t retire before the boot does.
