It’s official: spring has sprung and we’re making the transition from winter grey to full technicolour. It’s been a soggy week here in Canmore - we started out the week on skis, and ended it in galoshes (Hunter, naturally) and it’ll be skis again this coming week. But nevermind the wet, sloppy streets, sunnier days are coming. We have all the fresh colours in store to brighten up even the dullest days. Come in for a visit, or check out our New Arrivals online.
MOTHER denim and tees arrived by the boxload this week, and some fab Italian sneakers in fun colours from Back 70. We have summer hats from Lack of Colour, and a new brand to tell you about from Spain called Skatie that we can’t get enough of. There are also some adorable matched sets from Summum, Mos Mosh and indi & cold that are already flying out the door, so don’t wait too long to catch them!
Skatie is a firm that was born in Barcelona in 2018 at the hands of Noelia Peinado and Marc Sorensen, founders of Meisie, a bohemian-inspired firm. Their dream was to create a complementary brand that reflected their Scandinavian origin.
Skatie, from the Danish term [Skat], means treasure and is an expression to name someone dear. The name itself is a declaration of intent.
